TUF-STRAND FIBER DESIGN STUDIO

Welcome to the Euclid Chemical Fiber Design Tools Studio, a suite of engineering calculators developed to simplify the design and evaluation of TUF-STRAND SF synthetic macrofiber reinforced concrete applications. Based on the recommendations of ACI 544.4R, TR34 and certified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data, these tools allow users to determine equivalent fiber dosages to replace conventional steel reinforcement and compare the embodied carbon (GWP) of fiber and steel reinforced slabs-on-ground. Together, these calculators provide a practical and efficient approach to engineering design, material optimization, and sustainability assessment.

Temperature & Shrinkage Calculator

Determine the equivalent TUF-STRAND SF dosage for temperature and shrinkage crack control in slabs-on-ground.

Based on the recommendations of ACI 544.4R, this calculator converts required steel reinforcement into an equivalent fiber dosage using either calculated steel tensile stress or reinforcement area from an existing slab-on-ground design. It is intended for applications where fibers replace conventional temperature and shrinkage reinforcement while providing effective crack control and maintaining slab durability and serviceability.

Bending Moment Calculator

Calculate the equivalent TUF-STRAND SF dosage required to replace conventional steel reinforcement in flexural applications.

This calculator determines the nominal bending moment capacity provided by reinforcing steel at a specified location and converts that capacity into an equivalent fiber dosage using residual flexural strength values obtained from ASTM C1609 (fₑ₃) testing, enabling performance-based structural design with TUF-STRAND SF.

Embodied Carbon Calculator

Compare the embodied carbon of TUF-STRAND SF and conventional steel reinforcement for more sustainable slab designs.

Using NRMCA verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data, this calculator estimates and compares the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of fiber-reinforced concrete and conventionally reinforced concrete. The results help quantify potential CO₂eq reductions when using fiber reinforcement.

Registered users only

NexSLAB™

Perform comprehensive structural design and analysis of TUF-STRAND SF fiber-reinforced concrete slabs-on-ground in accordance with TR34.

Available exclusively to registered users, this advanced engineering platform evaluates material properties, subgrade support, joint performance, and loading conditions - including point, line, uniformly distributed, rack post, and vehicle wheel loads. It optimizes slab thickness, determines the required TUF-STRAND SF dosage, and verifies performance under both serviceability and ultimate limit states.
